This is a list of all the U9 spring programs being ran across the city through our member clubs. Avaiable to all particpants born in 2017 and 2018.
Bow River Spring Hockey
Cost & Location: $275. All ice times at Bowness Sportsplex unless otherwise indicated
U9 skaters will rotate through the goalie position. Bow River will provide goalie gear.
Schedule: One hour per week on either Saturday or Sunday (consistent from week to week). Spring Hockey will run from April 5th-6th to June 21st-22nd, 2025. 10 weeks, no hockey on Easter (April 19th-20th) or May Long Weekend (May 17th-18th)
BVHS Spring Academy
BVHS is excited to announce that we will be offering a Spring Academy Program (in partnership with Morgan Hockey Development). This program will have a primary focus on developing the players skill sets in an environment that challenges each participant, yet allows for optimal growth through a positive and fun learning environment. This camp will be lots of fun and its guaranteed to prepare our participants for the 2025-2026 Season. The Spring Academy will work on the fundamentals; power skating, edge control, stick handling, over speed training, small area games, passing, battle/compete, shooting and scoring. There is no goalie specific training provided in the Spring Academy.
Cost & Location: The cost of the Academy is $375 + Service Fees.The 2025 Spring Academies will take place at the Seton YMCA and the Trico Leisure Centre.
Dates & Times for group A: March 31 - June 2, 2025 (Monday Evenings). 6:15pm - 7:15pm. Seton Arena A
Dates &Times for group B: April 3 - June 5, 2025 (Thursday Evenings). 6:15pm - 7:15pm. Seton Arena A
Spring Skills Development Program
Participants are required to have been placed on a Glenlake team during the 2024-2025 season and will follow the age divisions as outlined by Hockey Canada for the 2025-2026 season.
Description: The Skills Development program will consist of progressive skating and skills drills that will challenge all participants as skills improve over the Spring. Ice sessions will include:
Skill Development focusing on: Skating, Passing/Receiving Techniques, Shooting, Stick handling, Balance and Posture, Hockey IQ Drills, Decision making/Read and Reacting, and Small area games.
Cost & Location: $200. All ice times will be held at Flames Community Arenas, 2390 47 Avenue SW
Dates & Times: Wednesdays. Program runs from April 1 to June 15.
Southwest Hockey Spring Development
U7 & U9 Power Skills. Program will consist of 3 icetimes. Skills focused on will be a combination of power skating, shooting, and puck skills.
Cost & Location: $135. All ice times will be held at Cardel Rec South Arena 4.
Dates & Times: May 21, May 26, June 2. 5:45-6:45PM.
We are excited to announce the launch of the Wolves Spring 2025 Development Program in partnership with P3 Sports Inc. and Dark Horse Athletic! This program combines hockey development with multisport dryland training to help players enhance their skills both on and off the ice.
Cost & Location: $570. All ice times will be held at Flames Community Arenas. All dryland will be held at Webber Academy - Outdoor Sports Court.
Dates & Times: 13 Icetimes and 7 Dryland sessions. Tuesday through Thursday April 1 to May 15.
