Hockey Calgary is saddened by the passing of Perry Cavanagh, a devoted volunteer and leader whose dedication to youth hockey in Calgary spanned over three decades. From coaching his oldest son’s team to serving as President of Hockey Calgary and Chair of Sport Calgary, Perry’s impact was felt across the community. He was instrumental in pioneering Respect in Sport, supporting youth initiatives, and advocating for the Max Bell Centre expansion — now home to the Perry Cavanagh Arena.
