Hockey Calgary is proud to present the Hockey Calgary Coach Night Series brought to you by Score Hockey Range. The Series is aimed at bringing coaches together to learn some new skills, to share ideas, and to 'nerd out' with a group of passionate coaches. 
Idea sharing is an important part of coaching. The Hockey Calgary Coach Night Series is the beginning of an initiative to create a community network of coaches in the city of Calgary to facility idea and resource sharing and support. With the help and involvement of great coaches, we will improve our base and push each other to get better and in turn, improve the development and experience of children playing the great game of hockey.
Roberta Frank is the U18AA Fire White Head Coach and GHC's U11 Coach Mentor. Roberta will be talking about practice and seasonal planning to help prepare female coaches for the upcoming season. This is a great session to begin the year and will provide coaches in attendance with valuable takeaways for the rest of of the season!
Roberta is going into her 16th year of coaching as the head coach of U18 AA Calgary Fire White for the 2026-2027 season. She’s spent 8 years in the Calgary Fire program as both a head coach, co-head coach and assistant coach for U15 and U18 AA. At GHC over the last 3 years she’s helped foster the Coach Mentorship program working with U11 head coaches and all female coaches in the organization.
Roberta ties in her degree and previous work experience as a kinesiologist into her player development, practice planning, and seasonal game strategy. With a philosophy for people first, athletes second, hockey players third Roberta largely focuses on long term person and player development by working to cultivate a positive team culture each year.
