HOCKEY CALGARY DEVELOPMENT SKATES

Hockey Calgary is pleased to offer complimentary Development Skates to our membership for the 2026–2027 season! These sessions will feature guest coaches and focused themes designed to enhance player development. All skill levels are welcome to participate. Ice sessions will be limited to 25 participants.

The first Development Skate will take place on October 23 at the Don Hartman Northeast Sportsplex, with a focus on skating and shooting mechanics. Please see below for the time slots for the first session.

• U9: 9:00am-10:00am
• U11: 10:15am-11:15am
• U13: 11:30am-12:30pm
• U15 & U18 Female only: 12:45pm-1:45pm
• U15: 2:00pm-3:00pm
• U18: 3:15pm-4:15pm
   

Kohl Bell - Owner of Kohl Bell Hockey Development 

Kohl Bell is the founder of Kohl Bell Hockey Development in Kelowna, BC. With more than 11 years of coaching experience, he specializes in skating and shooting mechanics and helping players apply those skills in games. His sessions combine clear technical teaching with purposeful repetitions, decision-making and competition. Kohl believes development should build confidence alongside skill. He gives players simple cues and helps them understand why each movement matters. He also serves as an assistant coach and skills coach with the HPL Okanagan Knights.
