Every Community District in Calgary is designated to a Hockey Calgary Community Member Club and Elite Member Club. If you do not know which Member Club you belong to please refer to the Calgary Member Club List. Choose your Community from the dropdown list, which will display your Member Club and contact details.
Each Member Club webpage will detail their registration process (registration is on-line). If you have any questions a registration contact for the Member Club should be present on their webpage. If a player wishes to register with a Member Club other than their designated Member Club they must complete the Player Moveoment form available under the Forms button. Requests are considered based upon the Player Movement Criteria as described on that page. Players are not eligible to register at their preferred Member Club without notiifcation from the Hockey Calgary Registrar that their release has been approved.
Player age as of December 31 of the current season
Hockey Canada does permit overage players but only under very specific conditions. It should be noted the instance of Overage Status is more prevalent in rural leagues - the number of teams and divisions in the Calgary leagues provide a better opportunity for beginner players or those with limited skill to participate within their proper age category. On average, Hockey Calgary approves one (1) or two (2) overage players every season, generally for health related reasons. For more information please follow this link: Overage Application
