CBC Calgary is doing a remote broadcast of the The Homestretch program with the hosts, Doug Dirks and Jenny Howe, on location at the Genesis Centre YMCA on Dec. 10 from 3 - 6 p.m. with the Calgary Food Bank accepting donations (cash and food items).
Every person that donates receives a buddy pass good for three months for any YMCA location! Bring your hockey team out and donate to the food bank! There will also be a great band playing and other guests on the program promoting youth philanthropy.
CBC will also have our two other Homestretch reporters at the Shawnessy and Crowfoot YMCAs so that no matter where you are in the city it should be easy to stop by and donate.
This year,CBC's theme is all about celebrating Calgary's young philanthropists - kids and teens that volunteer their time and energy to all kinds of non-profit organizations.
CBC Calgary is challenging Hockey Calgary and each association to try and raise the most amount of donations!
