There are some changes to Coach Certifications for the 2010-2011 Season.

The biggest change pertaining to Coach Certifications is below.

Click Here to be linked to the Hockey Alberta website where coaches can register to take part in the Respect In Sport- Coach Module.

1. Speak Out/Respect in Sport Coach Level

1.1. Speak Out clinics will no longer be scheduled and will be replaced with the Respect in Sport - Coach online program, to be accessed through the Hockey Alberta website. (Please note that RIS – Parent is not equivalent and does not meet Hockey Alberta Bylaws and Regulations!)

1.2. Hockey Alberta bylaw Section F as pertaining to coach requirements will now read as follows:

“All teams registering with Hockey Alberta must have one (1) member of the registered team officials achieve Speak Out or Respect in Sport Certification by December 31 and be on the bench at all games."
