As part of Hockey Calgary’s commitment to giving young players the best possible start in their sporting journey, Coach Santa will be visiting rinks across the city from now until December 24th, meeting teams and sharing words of encouragement. Each visit will help reinforce the values that Hockey Calgary promotes, all while keeping things lighthearted and fun. Starting today, Hockey Calgary will also release a weekly video that U7 and U9 players can watch to learn important lessons about teamwork and kindness. These videos are designed to be fun and engaging, using simple language and activities that are perfect for young athletes. And the fun doesn’t stop there! Coach Santa will be handing out special “Caught You Being Nice” trading cards to players who demonstrate the values taught in the videos. These keepsake cards celebrate kindness, responsibility, and teamwork, helping reinforce the positive lessons learned. Coaches and managers are encouraged to request visits from Coach Santa, but space is limited, and priority will be given to teams hosting tournaments or jamborees. So, don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this festive, heartwarming program!
