Today in the Hockey Calgary office the winning raffle ticket was drawn. The winning ticket was #819496 which was purchased by Jory Gammie from the Glenlake Hawks Association. Congratulations to the winner of the first EMHW 50/50 raffle. The winning ticket holder will receive a cheque in the amount of $6430.00.

Organized hockey is an amazing vehicle where today’s youth can learn so many valuable life lessons, like being a team player, setting goals and achieving them, becoming a leader and most of all having fun with your peers. No child should be shut out of this opportunity and that is where the Flames EvenStrength Program (FESP) steps in. Each year, Hockey Calgary partners with the Calgary Flames Foundation, CP and KidSport to fund the Flames EvenStrength Program.
FESP specifically assists minor hockey players in the City of Calgary who face financial obstacles to participating in organized hockey. The program provides funding to help alleviate the cost of fees for registration in community hockey and since the start of the program in 1998, we have distributed over 2.9 million dollars to more than 5,500 recipients to ensure that they have the chance to lace up their skates and hit the ice.
We have all seen the headlines, know friends and family that have been personally affected by the continued economic downturn in Calgary. The need is greater this year more than ever, we need your help to ensure that no child is left on the bench. Tickets will go on sale Dec 13, 2019 right through to the very last day of Esso Minor Hockey Week January 18,2020. The Draw will be held in the Hockey Calgary office on Jan 24, 2020 at 12:00pm at which time we will contact the lucky winner.
