Kids Play 4 Kids Charity Hockey Tournament

Kids Play 4 Kids™ Charity Hockey Tournament is being held to promote excellence in health, education and sport while caring for others through the passion of hockey. This tournament will inspire children to understand the importance of families and communities, and will empower them to give back to less fortunate kids.

The tournament will be held in Calgary on the weekend of March 23-25, 2012, and will be hosted by Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, Edge School Foundation and Hockey Calgary.

The tournament invites 110 teams from Timbits to Pee Wee to play in the tournament. All teams will play a fun, non-contact hockey game with two-25 minute periods in a round robin of four games. This breaks down to 2,200 children, 250 games, and 10 ice surfaces throughout Calgary-all to help other kids just like themselves!

Proceeds from the Kids Play 4 Kids Charity Hockey Tournament will assist three amazing organizations. Proceeds from the tournament will help:

• Hockey Calgary to help Calgary kids, regardless of their financial status, play hockey. With every dollar raised, another pair of skates will hit the ice.
• The Alberta Children's Hospital to raise funds to find new cures and provide better treatments for children and families fighting cancer.
• The Edge School Foundation to provide financial assistance through the Student Financial Program to help kids attend Edge School and pursue their passion. 

Hockey Calgary believes that every child deserves the opportunity to play hockey. By partnering with the Edge School Foundation and the Alberta Children's Hospital, we are getting closer to a healthy and happy future for all children. Register your Timbits, Novice, Atom or Pee Wee teams to play in this incredible tournament and help less fortunate kids at the same time.

Registration is $795.00 and as this is a charity tournament, teams are encouraged to raise funds on top of the registration fee.
