We are the SW Cougar U18 Body Contact - Tier 3 team from Calgary, AB and are hosting a 4 team - 4 game tournament in Calgary. (TOURNAMENT IS FULL) Thank you for your interest.
When the kids were young, we never thought this time in our child's hockey career would come but it has. As these young people enter their last year's in community hockey, it is my hope that we can help make the end as memorable as the beginning when they were little. We hope you find the events listed below favourable and decide to join us.
**Please note we are hosting this in conjunction with the U18 BC Tier 2 team. We are hosting this with the tier 2 team because many of our boys have played together for years and this way, although they are not on the same team they can celebrate their last skate on the ice with all their friends.
Managers and coaches, this is the easiest tournament you have ever attended. We hosted 2 tournaments last year and can provide references from those teams if required.
Checklist
1. Fill out the application form.
2. Submit payment immediately upon acceptance into the tournament.
3. Select a hotel and inform your parents of the booking. Hotel rooms will be secured for your convenience.
4. If you have a retiring (3rd year) player that you would like to acknowledge in a special way, let us know.
5. Pack and arrive on time to your first game.

If you have a parent that likes to play music during games, we would love for them to show off their skills at a game.
Tournament Details (subject to change without prior notice given):
This is a cash prize tournament. The 3 top teams with the lowest penalty minutes and NO SUSPENSIONS will receive $600/ $300/$150.
NHL like Team Introductions to your selected team music and O'Canada prior to the Finals on Sunday.
3 seeding round games are 1 1/4 hours long - 15 - 15 - 15 minute periods - with no floods - unless otherwise noted in the tournament rules
All final games are 2 hours - 20 - 20 - 20 minute periods with a flood between each period.
Every game will have a Heart and Hustle gift for each team.
1.5 hour SKILLS Competition (there will be a Coaches Skills event if time permits)

Hardest Shot Fastest Skater Accuracy Shootout
Each team is to assign 4 players (assuming 16 players/team) to each category. Accommodations will be made if you have more than 16 players; each player should participate. There will be a prize for each category winner and a prize for the best goalie in the shootout.
1st place (Gold Medal) winners will be awarded prizes (not a metal or trophy but something they will use).
There will be a Player Board 50/50's, raffles and more...watch here for updates. We want to make this as fun as we can for everyone involved.
The non-refundable tournament registration is $1950/team, remember you can win back some of the entry fee if your team has low penalty minutes.
