PEE WEE AA MINOR PROVINCIALS KICK OFF TODAY
SPRINGBANK, AB – Trails West Minor Hockey Association along with Hockey Calgary are pleased to announce today the kick off to the 2014 Pee Wee AA Minor Investors Group Hockey Alberta Provincials held in Springbank, AB from March 20 – 23, 2014.
“We are really excited to host the Provincials here in Calgary,” said Greg Robertson, President, Trails West Hockey Association. “We hope everyone has a memorable experience throughout the tournament. Teams representing their zone in a provincial championship should be proud of the coaches, volunteers and mostly the players. It is a great accomplishment and a rewarding way to finish off their season of hard work and dedication.”
A total of 10 teams will be participating with a total of 172 kids:

Over the next four days, 23 games will be played out of the Springbank Park for all Seasons bringing these 10 teams from all over Alberta to battle for the right to call themselves Provincial Champions.
“Hockey Calgary is excited to have Trails West host the Investors Group Hockey Alberta Provincials right here in our backyard,” said Kevin Kobelka, Executive Director, Hockey Calgary. “We hope teams walk away from this experience with fond memories of our City and our hospitality. The host committee has worked countless hours to bring this tournament together and we thank them for all their hard work and time.”
*Note to media – NHL Alumni Sheldon Kennedy will be on location during the 4:45 p.m. game today (Thursday, March 20) as the host team Trails West Wolves take on the North Seera Swarm.
